Asbestos Inspections
MMG’s LDEQ Accredited Asbestos Inspectors can conduct a comprehensive investigation of the area in question to identify and collect suspect asbestos-containing materials, including, but not limited to, suspected ACM on structural, mechanical, and roofing systems. Investigations vary from building surveys, asbestos management plan inspections, suspected asbestos-containing materials (ACM) sampling investigations, and condition assessments depending on individual client needs.
Compliance Air Monitoring/AHERA Compliant Clearances
MMG is able to collect asbestos air samples for analysis either by phase contrast microscopy (PCM) or transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Accredited Asbestos Contractor/Supervisors will provide all ambient air monitoring and clearance air sampling services. Ambient air monitoring for asbestos fibers will be performed throughout the duration of the asbestos remediation and/or abatement project. Once active abatement work is completed, MMG will conduct clearance air sampling as described in the methodology contained in 40 CRF 763 Subpart E, Appendix A as required by LAC.33.III Chapter 27.
Management Plan Services
MMG’s LDEQ Accredited Management Planners are familiar with applicable state and federal asbestos regulations and are available to assist clients with regulatory compliance, facilities inspection and assessment, and suspected ACM emergency response. MMG’s Asbestos Management Planners will use sampling results and field data to author ACM inspection reports, issue recommendations regarding required response actions, and/or consult on the long-term management of ACM identified at a given facility, as necessary. MMG will also assist clients in the completion and submittal of the required AAC-8 Form to LDEQ.
Project Design Services
MMG’s LDEQ Accredited Asbestos Project Designer is experienced and capable of providing comprehensive asbestos consultations to clients. MMG can assist clients with multiple asbestos management, mitigation, and/or abatement options to ensure that the clients’ budget needs are met while simultaneously meeting regulatory requirements, reducing the public’s exposure, and minimizing the owner’s potential liability. MMG can also assist clients with pre-abatement management services including on-site consultation regarding site preparation, containment construction, and other QA/QC services required prior to the start of active asbestos hazard response work.
