Lead in Drinking Water
MMG’s certified Lead Inspectors and Risk Assessors can collect drinking water samples using the protocols and recommendations outlined in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) document “Suggested Directions for Homeowner Tap Sample Collection Procedures” or “Sampling for Lead in Drinking Water in Nursery Schools and Day Care Facilities”.
Groundwater Sampling
MMG Environmental Professionals and technicians can perform groundwater sampling on various sites, to achieve information regarding routine monitoring, and regulatory compliance issues. MMG’s fully-trained technical staff coordinates and supplies equipment for site inspections while our certified and experienced professional staff develop and execute corrective action activities in response to LDEQ’s site inspection findings. MMG personnel can gauge and check monitoring wells for the presence of light or heavy non-aqueous phase liquids (LNAPLs and DNAPLs). Wells are developed using a peristaltic pump, allowed to recharge, and purged while stabilization parameters including pH, temperature, and conductivity are monitored. On behalf of our clients, MMG can coordinate and secure approval from LDEQ on an assessment monitoring work plans (AMP), if applicable. MMG’s environmental scientists can use the findings from these assessments to determine if the site should remain in an AMP, return to the detection monitoring program, or become the subject of a corrective action work plan.
Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) Sampling
MMG’s seasoned technicians and project managers have years of experience conducting wastewater sampling, testing, and report preparation for Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMR). The sampling and testing meets the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) requirements under the numerous LPDES Permits. Sanitary wastewater, discharge, runoff, and other wastewater sampling are services that MMG can provide for DMR requirements. Parameters often include: BOD5, TSS, Oil and Grease, Fecal Coliform, pH, and additional site-specific testing.
